Dedicated in 1901, Wade Memorial Chapel was built in honor of Jeptha Wade, founder of The Western Union Telegraph Company, by his grandson. The exterior was designed by W. Dominick Benes and Benjamin S. Hubbell. The interior was designed by Louis Comfort Tiffany. – CEMETERY FACTS: Founded in 1869, Lake View had its first burial in 1870 and is situated on 285 acres with 70 acres remaining for future development (enough room for the next 100 years). Over 101,000 people are buried there, with burials at the rate of approximately 700 per year including cremations, entombments and casket burials. Anyone – and everyone – can be interned at Lake View. http://www.lakeviewcemetery.com
