Thought I would share one of my portraits

Postby earl53 on Fri Jun 05, 2009 1:14 pm

I photographed a friend of mine this year and what I used was a two umbrella set-up with 100W lights. I reflected the light through the umbrella instead of bouncing it back on to her. I did do some PS on her skin to remove some wrinkles. She's in her 50's like me.

If you look at her right eye you can see I placed that light closer to her then the one on her left. I need to lighten the shadow next to her left eye to make it look better.

Nice.

It looks a little soft; is that from the lighting, a filter or photoshop (or my eyes)?

It's a filter in Photoshop. It's a portrait skin cleaner add-on from DCE. There are several that come with the add-on and after fixing any wrinkles I add a little of the skin cleaner.
